Days of the Rose

Garden and rose lovers, meet at Chaalis Abbey on June 7, 8, 9 and 10, 2019!

In 18 years, the Days of the Rose have become a meeting point for lovers of roses and green spaces. This year, Friday 7, Saturday 8, Sunday 9 and Monday 10 June 2019, the domain of Chaalis welcomes visitors again for a festive and family weekend.

More than 150 exhibitors horticulturists, nursery growers, rose gardeners, artists or artisans come together to share their advice with passion and celebrate the queen of flowers in an exceptional setting. Exhibitions, workshops and conferences take place in the pleasant park of 20 hectares of the Abbey. The rose garden of the estate, then in full bloom, leads visitors in a magical and unforgettable walk.

Roses of history

The Days of the Rose 2019 are sponsored by Stéphane Bern and honor the roses in history.

The event is also an opportunity to discover this Cistercian abbey, founded by Louis VI the Gros in the 12th century, Nélie Jacquemart-André's former residence, where she exhibited a large part of her collection of objects of art constituted during of his many travels.

High place of romanticism, the Chaalis abbey welcomed writers such as Théophile Gauthier, Gérard de Nerval or Jean-Jacques Rousseau, inspired by the history and beauty of the place.
